Slow fashion = SOULFUL: It’s not just clothes it is a CRAFT!
Slow fashion is lifestyle choice:

Sustainability in fashion can be achieved in a threefold manner, environmental, craft and economic sustenance. Endeavor to cause minimal negative impact to the environment by reducing, reusing and recycling the products. The Heritage and legacy of the craft traditions needs to be revived by finding better market demand and product diversification, this requires creating better economic models and providing economic sustenance to all stakeholders in the value chain.

Good quality clothes require patience as it takes time! The natural cotton fiber grown by the hard working farmers, spun by hand into a magical length of yarn, which is further woven into a splendid fabric by the accomplished weavers, dyed to blissful hues by the gifted dyers. Subsequently pattern cut, draped and sewn by dexterous hands and eyes; to translate the two dimensional fabric to the real three
dimensional garment.

After the garment which is created by collective efforts of so many people and multiple resources, is no longer useful it is disposed; it is either reused which then gets bio- degraded, worse if made of synthetic fabrics does not even get bio-degraded and adds to the landfill. Immaculate design intervention at every stage from farm to grave is essential to make the lifecycle of the clothes meaningful to all people who make it and wear it and cause minimal adverse impact on environment for sustainable future while enjoying the current fashion responsibly!

Pause for fashion :

It is about making mindful choices and knowing the story behind who made our clothes. This helps in generating sustainable livelihoods and being responsible for the choices made to produce clothes with conscience at each stage. We work with highly Indian weavers at the unique craft clusters and involve local skill sets to make our unique collections.

Good quality clothes require patience as it takes time! Mindless consumption often leads to fast fashion landfill of non-bio degradable clothes or violation of eco concerns, minimum wage, health and safety requirement at some point of the fashion product lifecycle.

Good quality clothes adhering to the slow fashion philosophy ensures responsible product development and communication, to help you create a positive impact fashionably.

Cotton being the cellulosic fiber is best suited to humid Indian tropical weather in the Gangetic belt or
the coastal regions. The cotton fiber when spun in a magical yarn, when further woven in a timeless
fabric provides a beautiful texture and spectacular insulation to regulate the body temperature in
summers as well as winter season.

The fabric is the core of any clothing whether it is basic or fashion oriented. The fabric lends the unique texture and form to the garment and for 90% of the final garment which speaks of the delicate details of the way it is handmade and applied to a contemporary silhouette, which can keep one rooted and help the wearer maintain a unique identity also to sustain the local artisans, by providing them respectable livelihood.

Handloom fabric = Machine spun + Handwoven

The world is heading towards a milieu of the insanely paced lifestyle and often akin to running very fast on a treadmill without reaching anywhere; while the destination may not be the most attractive part for many millennials the journey along with the interesting interactions with nature, human communities, their traditions and unique stores are likely to entice many.

In the fast paced world, where each person is on the go always and is under tremendous pressure of busy schedules, strenuous work, little leisure. Our comfort-fit, light – weight breezy clothes in trend cuts, with soft absorbent handloom fabrics help you relieve all the stress when everything else is beyond your control.

Take a mindful pause for fashion.

Don’t kill yourself in high heels and fancy clothes ….. Talk the real you.

Fashion is an expression of your real self, which is best expressed when one is at ease and comfort physically and psychologically. Easy relaxed fits and comfort fabric that breathe incorporated in clothes made responsibly lend that aspect of freedom. Constricted clothes and uncomfortable styling just to fit in a certain fashion fad , detracts from your personality and reduces the wearer to a trend follower or lookalike.

What is the fashion forecast scenario:

The fashion trends are moving towards sustainable practices like recycle, reduce& recuse, craft / heritage sustenance, organic production processes and fair trade for all stakeholders in the supply-chain is recognized as the future direction of fashion. The acceptance of more easy, breathable fabrics and silhouettes has led to acceptance of beautiful textured cotton, linen, silk fabrics with a story to tell the world. The silhouette direction is comfort driven with anti- fit style lines and subtle detailing.

Body shaming is rampant globally, the body stereotypes have led to false body image and body shaming in the post-modern world, the pursuit of the elusive size zero. Fatal measures to fit-in with so called ideal body image of others as well as own self have seen some really ugly outcomes. It is time that real women with their real curves are appreciated for the way they are. It is important that humans keep themselves healthy, fit and happy to enjoy the many pleasures of life and engage in meaningful pursuits.

Our clothes celebrate the curves of the women and give them a responsible fashion statement.
